General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) is an international women's organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Founded in 1890, GFWC is one of the world's oldest and largest women's volunteer organizations.
Who We Are
GFWC is comprised of women of different ages and diverse talents. (Membership in Junior and Juniorette Clubs is provided for specific age ranges.) Our strength lies in the diversity of its members and their willingness to focus on a wide range of important issues.
Our members are your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and acquaintances. We are professional women, homemakers, business owners, students, retirees, wives, mothers, and single women.
How We Work
The work of the club is accomplished through a strong, active organization which encourages leadership training, development of talents, and unity of purpose. Programs and projects are designed to enrich and expand members' horizons and are promoted under six Community Service Programs (CSP's) as prescribed by the General Federation of Women's Clubs.
